Inspi - ray - tional
Mobula Rays - Smaller cousins of the Manta Ray, have been captured bursting off the Mexico's eastern shore (Sea of Cortez, in the Gulf of Mexico). They have been observed to leap as high as 2 meter in air somtimes doing flips and even double flips.
Scientists know little about why Mobulas breach in such a spectacular fashion.
